We provide free tennis lessons to Liberian youth, introducing them to the game of tennis and equipping them with life skills.
Local Empowerment

YFTL is a grassroots initiative. It is building tennis programs designed and run by local Monrovians for local Monrovians.
Equipment
Equipment
YFTL has made a tennis stringer, racquets, balls, clothing and other equipment available for the students. Furthermore, YFTL was able to build a court on the grounds of a school outside Monrovia.
Enhanced Athletic Education
Enhanced Athletic Education
YFTL has supported innumerable clinics, lessons and tournaments throughout the years. In 2025 it introduced tennis to students at 8 different schools. As a result, tennis has been incorporated in the PE programs of Serdia Technical and Jimmy Jolocon High Schools as well as that of Life International School. The Liberian Olympic Committee has met with Coach Alfred about expanding tennis in the country. One of YFTL’s female students has won several of the countries’ tournaments and recently competed in Angola at the all Africa Youth Games.
